Pirate Fans Flock To Home Opener
Last night’s first home game brought out thousands of fans to Wylie Stadium ready to see their beloved Pirates take on the Sachse Mustangs. Cars lined up on 544 well before game time and the parking lots filled quickly as spectators from Wylie and Sachse battled for spots even before their teams battled on the gridiron. Even though outside temperatures registered in the triple-digits, the heat didn’t stop the AHMO Nation from showing their spirit. Brody Hickey (Class of ’13) and Cody Dahl (Class of ’12) broke out the greasepaint and wore their spirt on their chests…and backs…and arms.
Even though the Pirates didn’t prevail against their rivals from next door, Pirate fans proved that pride in their team and their school can’t be diminished.
